The Whitest Kids U’ Know x

When I was in elementary school (post 9/11) a traveling theater group came to put on a play for us. The play took place in a classroom, the first act showed normal everyday school life. In the second act, someone came into the classroom and said that we had a new government now and we no longer have to say the pledge and that they will all be having a sleepover at the school tonight and they can stay up as late as they want. All the kids in the play got really excited, and they showed them playing around for a bit. And then the kids started to question this new government, and how they actually wanted to say the pledge and they didn’t want to sleep at school everyday. The play ended when these kids had that realization, and then someone came on stage to talk to us about how it’s important to say the pledge and how free our government is, and that we can’t let people take us over.

I knew this was some sort of propaganda, and I STILL remember the whole play.

I stopped pledging once i realized we sound like a cult all standing and repeating the same words and would get in trouble if we didn’t stand up.

So if we have to show women what the baby looks like in their womb and tell them how the process works before allowing them to get an abortion, does that mean we should teach our soldiers about the culture of the lands we’re invading, and explain to them that the people we want them to kill have families and feel pain, just like Americans?
